I confess.
the depiction of the secret ritual of the Mormon church in the latest episode of big love was pretty titillating.
You get to spend fifteen minutes in Heaven.
Even for fifteen minutes at a time Heaven looks pretty boring. For eternity? no thanks.

I know it's a week late, but lets spend a moment talking about the who killed Jenny Schechter mystery.
the cop-out ending of the series leaves two interpretations possible:
1. Being a Lesbian means you have no choice but to be part of an insular community with horrible people you have nothing in common with.
Death is the only escape.
2. Being a Lesbian means you have no choice but to be part of an insular community with horrible people you have nothing in common with.
Use the force of the insular community to eliminate any people the community deems too horrible to abide by anymore.
what about the option of prolonged hermitage?

As Big Love is winding toward the end of season three, it just keeps getting better. Normally, I find HBO's brand of social realism a bit heavy handed, but Big Love, despite its concept, keeps getting more compelling all the time. Perhaps it's that the concept allows for a more believable soap than the concept of, say, the L-Word. I don't really care who killed Jenny Schechter. They all want to kill her. Big Love and the L-Word have the same message: you're stuck with assholes based on the accident of your birth. Whether you're born into polygamy or lesbianism, you are followed by the drama of people you have nothing in common with. Big Love is simply a better vehicle for this message than the L-word.

This week's episode of Fringe,which seemed to be actually short in Boston revealed the street address of Spcial Agent Olivia Dunham.
Turns out she lives right down the street from me.

A very stolen pre-release of the season opening to Season 6 of The L word happened to come across my desktop.
The arc seems to be a splitting of the lesbians into two warring factions.
The Betrayed factions is lead by Child of Evil and resident megalomaniacal writer, Jenny Schechter. Be prepared to see Jenny betray someone and then batt her eyelashes innocently. OOOoooh Jenny I hate you soooo much.
The Cheaters faction is lead by forgivable rogue, Shane. Not only does Shane have a boy's name, she also looks like a boy. Shane has slept with everyone you've ever met, but you just have to forgive her. You'd do her too if you had the chance.
Because it's Showtime and they are in love with the fact that they are cable, you can continue to expect the quality gratuitous sex scenes that the other seasons of The L word provided.
And with the two most caricatured characters in the show locked in a battle, let the game begin!

a link from the huffington post led me to an article about the wb dot com
and how there were this whole new business model for online tv, b/c the wb had brand loyalty
especially for young people
especially young women
who identify with buffy, and veronica mars and rory gilmore
who wish their mother was loreli (although really she's emily)
who wish boys were chastely unattainable, and long for them quietly
like clark kent longs for lana lang
if they are to retain that market bracket
i suggest they do something to improve their platform

I had this whole thing worked out.
I was gonna blog about how Obama used a Colbertism on national TV--
Around seven and a half minutes into this eight minute video, Obama says so many of the governors embody the spirit of "sticktoitness"
Sticktoitvenss is a colbertism! isn't it...?
Sadly, despite it's apperence in Wikiality, the Truthiness Encyclopedia for Colbert's Heroes, sticktoitiveness is a real word.
But does Obama know that?
